The National Lottery Awards 2010

Core Telecom has been chosen from a host of suppliers to support the telephony voting requirements of The National Lottery Awards 2010.

“We are delighted to be working with such a highly regarded and benevolent brand. It is a commendation of the unique solutions Core Telecom offer and the specialist skills our employees provide,” expressed Chief Executive Mahmood Mazhar.

Now in their seventh year, The National Lottery Awards aim to recognise the incredible difference that Lottery-funded projects – both big and small – have made to people, places and communities all across the UK. They also celebrate the talent, hard work and amazing dedication of the people involved in running the projects

Since The National Lottery began in 1994, over 340,000 grants have been given out across the arts, sport, heritage, charities, health, education and the environment sectors.

The Awards have seven categories, reflecting the different types of projects that benefit from Lottery funding.  An independent expert organisation – Neil Stewart Associates – reviewed all the entries and drew up a long-list. An independent judging panel short-listed the projects, 10 per category, which then went through to the semi-final round of public voting.

This is where Core Telecom becomes involved in the voting process.
The semi-final round of public voting runs from 1-18 June, and the three projects in each category with the most votes will progress to the final round of public voting, which will run from 26 July-13 August.

Core Telecom will provide dedicated non geographic telephone numbers for all 70 competing projects, recorded messages on all phone lines when required, as well as automated daily reports identify voting totals and detailed online statistics.

Core Telecom is a specialist telecoms network, the lead supplier of non geographical numbers, supplying in excess of 4000 UK businesses, offering bespoke solutions to the corporate market.

Matthew Mansfield of National Lottery Good Causes added “Core Telecom has been chosen to supply all our telephony voting needs, allowing a first class voting system through their committed service and provision of a comprehensive end to end solution.”
Core Telecom is thrilled to be working with The National Lottery Awards 2010 and is committed to providing a comprehensive service. Core has strong links with the local community and supports initiatives that raise awareness of good causes and funding throughout the UK.
The winners of The National Lottery Awards 2010 will be announced later in the year on a BBC1 television programme.
